Project:  Texas Petrochemicals Group, LLC

·   Gathered workflow information from Capital, Accounting and Procurement to produce business process flowcharts and diagrams of all business processes and recommended improved future state for construction execution, procure to pay and invoice processing workflows. 

·   Authored procedures for Construction execution such as RFI, Change Orders, Schedule Specifications, and Construction Management operations.

·   Lead the implementation of the Construction Management program and interfaced with Construction Contractors to request, refine and review Construction Control Reports such as Schedules, Cost Reports and Labor Productivity Reports.

·               Produced a forecast schedule showing unacceptable finish dates for ERIP software installation leading to project managers accelerating work.

Project: Shea Homes PUD Accommodation on Brea-Olinda Oil Fields, Brea, CA

Provided scheduling and planning support using Primavera P3 for a $1.5 Million capital project to replace an existing Oil Field Pumping System to allow residential PUD construction above hydraulic pumps, pipes and associated fluid handling equipment.

·                           Supported the development and management of an 8000+ activity baseline schedule using construction design drawings and project scope documents. 

·                           Produced schedule reports showing the critical path and forecast finish for client approval. 

Contract Project Manager, Aerotek Engineering, South San Francisco, 2003

Project: STI Machine Services machine safeguarding, ALZA & Genentech, Bay Area Northern California

·                           Managed the design, procurement and construction for safeguarding manufacturing machines at ALZA and Genentech. 

·                           Responded to RFPs, wrote proposals and negotiated with the client on quotes and change orders.

·                           Developed the first project budget reports with the database administrator to enable monitoring of project budgets, change orders and project cost performance.

·                           Field Project Manager for various satellite locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.  Managed projects for design, isometric pipe drawings, procurement and construction of specialty process piping and associated fluid handling equipment, high purity water, gas and air systems for biopharmaceutical and microelectronics manufacturing equipment installation. 

·                           Biopharmaceutical projects included fermentation tanks and associated fluid handling equipment such as piping, valves and pumps with budgets of $500k to $2 Million.

·               QA/QC pipe fabrication and welding, managed the scope and budget. 

·               Produced cost reports, budget forecasts, estimate capital contingency release, and called clients for payment collection to improve cash flow.

·               Wrote project proposals and quotes.  Tracked RFQ and RFI and construction documents in Access.

·               Built a piping line number database to track pipe fabrication and installation completion.

·               Oversight to isometric drawings for pipe fabrication. Coordinated client review of isometric drawings.

 

Chemical Engineer/Project Manager, Intel Corporation, Facilities & Construction, Hillsboro, OR, 1997 to 2001

·                           Chemical Engineer owner of the following facility systems: Ultrapure Water and DI Water Systems, Chemical Treatment, Wastewater Treatment & Collection Systems, and HVAC Systems such as air handlers, process cooling water, VOC removal systems and solvent exhaust system.

·                           Lead five project teams for design, construction and installation of semiconductor manufacturing equipment for Defect Metrology, Thin Films Metrology, SORT, Globals (cleanroom furnishings), and Support. Total budget was about $2 million.

·                           Managed the scope and cost for construction work of DI water and wastewater treatment systems that ranged from $10,000 to $300 million.
